Before and After ...

The Living Room originally had a natural stone fireplace, dark shuttered windows, tapestry covered chairs and the painting above the fireplace had a bright gold frame....

The Living Room was "modernized" by painting the fireplace a rich dark gray, removing the dark shutters, covering the chairs with a solid linen fabric and changing the frame over the fireplace to an antique silver tone.  Also, a cowhide and chrome bench was added to the room for additional seating.  The sofa was replaced with a linen sofa.
